PHAMUS PHOENIX PHORUM
Dash-10 :: Nest Operating Procedures

If you served in the Phoenix, C/158 AVN BN, 101 ABN DIV at Camp Evans in Vietnam, welcome!

You're eligible to add your name to our Mail Call list, and to access our discussion forum (more recently called a "blog"). How it got dubbed the "Phamus Phoenix Phorum" is another story, but you probably get the idea.

In the Phorum you can view and participate in the discussion, add your Phoenix callsign, MOS, crew position and tail number etc ... or update your email address if you change service providers.

IMPORTANT: There is NO WAY for us to know if you change your email address. If you don't keep your Phorum address updated, we will lose touch with you and you'll lose touch with your fellow Phoenix brothers. Please remember to keep your information current ... thank you!

  1. If you're NOT SURE whether you already have a Phoenix account, or if you can't remember your user name or password, click here and enter your last name. You should receive a reply within just a few minutes ... if not, check your spam filter.

  2. If you're quite certain that you DO NOT have a Phoenix account, email Ted Olson (Phoenix 65) and mention how and when you served in the Phoenix ... he will reply ASAP (but maybe not the same day) with your new account access information.

  3. Once you've gained access to the Phorum, you'll see the following submenu:

    In the Phorum, click this tab to see who has visited the Phorum today. Participation varies from quite busy on some days to fairly quiet on many others.

    In the Phorum, click this tab to display your user profile, where you can edit your name, password, and enter or change your email address.

    Optional items include where you live and other information. Please enter a phone number where you can be reached. (This number is only for our admin purposes and it will not be displayed -- if you wish to display your phone number in messages you post, add it in the "Signature" section.)

    Be sure to click "Save" at the bottom when you're finished!.

    In the Phorum, click this tab to send an email to everyone on the Phoenix Phorum database list.

    In the Phorum, this tab displays a list of all names and email addresses in the Phorum, which you can copy-paste into another program.

    In the Phorum, click this tab to enter your Phoenix callsign (ex/ "Phoenix 99"), or your MOS (ex/ "Avionics"), crew position (ex/ "Door Gunner"), or the tail number of your aircraft (ex/ "Crewchief 999"). You can also enter your rank during your Phoenix tour, and the dates of your tour. This information helps others remember you!

    Exit the Phorum and return to the Phoenix website.

  4. Below that, the four (4) Conferences -- The Club, War Stories, Ops Room and Accounting -- describe topic areas for discussion. The number alongside each indicates the number of entries ... clearly, "The Club" is where most of the action takes place.

    To read previous posts, click on any of the conference topics. You can then "Reply" to an existing post, or click "Post" to start a new one. A spell checker is built-in, with an option to review your message before you post it.

Again, welcome to the Phamus Phoenix Phorum ... enjoy! Please send any comments or questions regarding the Phorum or the Phoenix website to Ted Olson, Phoenix 65.
